How To Do It

Becoming a Physiotherapist

Physiotherapists must complete a university degree in an accredited Physiotherapy program. All university Physiotherapy programs in Canada are at a Master’s level education. All graduating physiotherapists must pass a national exam to enter professional practice. Physiotherapists are committed to lifelong learning and upgrading their skills through continued education. As part of their education, registered physiotherapists have completed courses in areas such as anatomy, physiology, pathology and biomechanics. Physiotherapy programs balance the opportunity for classroom and hands-on learning by offering lectures, labs, small group work and clinical placements.
